Miss US Alexandria Mills, dressed in a white evening gown, was crowned the 6th Miss World 2010 in China. Miss Botswana Emma Wareus was named the first runner-up while Miss Venezuela Adriana Vasini named the second.
Here’s something we can appreciate: Alexandria, who is only 18 years old, hopes to become a teacher so that she can help children prepare for their future.
According to a brief biography on the Miss World website, Mills calls Louisville, Kentucky, her hometown, and she recently graduated from high school. She would like to become a teacher.
"I've never met a stranger and enjoy meeting new people," she says in the bio.
Alexandria is from Kentucky, and she was not the favorite coming into the competition – Miss Norway, who did not place in the top three, was. Mills just graduated from high school a few months ago, and she enjoys playing percussion and the French horn.
